Although trained in Chinese martial arts, physical therapist Erika Fong prefers sparring at the kickboxing gym, where the competition allows her to prove her personal worth. She’s not ashamed to admit relief when her despised Aunt Alice slips in the bathtub and dies, but her aunt’s lawyer reveals a surprise inheritance for Erika, her most hated niece—a large sum of money no one knew Alice possessed.
Erika discovers her aunt’s death wasn’t an accident, and that Alice had been in negotiations with Bram Thorson of Thorson Therapeutics, an illegal human cloning company. She narrowly escapes attempts on her life as she races to expose the operation. She is first protected, then betrayed by a mysterious man named Braden, who is somehow embroiled in Thorson’s agenda.
Bram Thorson will stop at nothing to acquire the money that should be his, and unknown to Erika, he has an ace up his sleeve . . . one of her sisters.
Book #2: CROUCHING LION (work in progress)
Police officer Lena Fong coolly observes everything around her, but she is always ready to step in and “clean up” after her sisters, taking responsibility for them as she always has. When her sister Miriya disappears, Lena steps in to find her.
Supremely manipulative and devious, she enters the familiar world of the wealthy San Francisco Asian elite, seeking the doctors Miriya had been working with on human cloning research. Miriya’s old boss Justin Cho, driven by his own personal demons, obstructs Lena at every turn and unleashes an army of hitmen to stop her investigation.
Dr. Stephen Chang is the one man who can lead her to her sister, but he’s also the one man who intrigues her, whose force of will may be more powerful than her own. All the while, unknown to Lena, the clock is ticking—time is running out for Miriya.
Book #3: RISEN PHOENIX (work in progress)
Miriya thought she had severed her ties to Thorson Therapeutics and the powerful Septet group. Then Lingyun Thorson contacts her with plans to overthrow the Septet and take over their human cloning and stem cell therapy companies.
Miriya brings the info to the CIA, which sees the opportunity to bring down the operation and find their secret research facility. They don’t trust Miriya, but with no inside agents and no time, they’re forced to use her friendship with Lingyun—although not before planting a subcutaneous explosive at the top of her spinal column.
Too late, Miriya realizes her love for her friend Max, who cannot follow her into this dark world of treachery and lies. She plays her part, forced to do things she’d rather forget, pursued by the mistakes of her past. Will there be redemption in victory?
